Councillor Alex Easton - VIVO
North Down MLA Alex Easton has said that he is concerned over the closure of the Vivo store in Conlig. He said that he will be speaking to the Town Centre Management Committee to see what can be done.
The store is a lifeline for the local community and its loss will not go unnoticed. He also said that he was concerned over the loss of several jobs.
Speaking today Alex Easton said:
“I am concerned over the closure of the local Vivo store in Conlig, which is a lifeline for the community in providing a valuable service.
I will be speaking to the Town Centre Management Committee about it to see if we can do anything.
The closure is also unwelcome as it provided several locally based jobs.
People should support their local shops; they provide a key service to communities and it is important that we see them maintained.
This local store will be missed as it also provided a centre for the local community in Conlig.” the North Down MLA said.
