DUP MLA Peter Weir said: "Every single claim the TUV has made over Policing and Justice devolution has been shown to bear no relation to the truth. With such an abysmal record why would anyone believe them now? This letter makes no mention of timing and the DUP remains committed to ensuring Unionist confidence before any devolution of additional powers. The TUV is a hypocritical shambles: incapable of providing leadership and getting every major issue wrong. We will not be deflected from getting the best outcome for Unionism by those who seek to scaremonger and frighten people for their own twisted reasons"
